Meet our SHINE Tejasvi Teachers

Sonali Ambasankar is the Coordinator for SHINE & a Tejasvi teacher since August 2018. She has conducted over 220+ sessions with the children until June 2024 both online and offline. Along with Swamini Brahmaprajnanandaji, she has developed the teaching pedagogy & the curriculum of the SHINE Program. She trains new SHINE Tejasvi teachers and has conducted 6 Tejasvi Teacher’s Training Programs until June 2024. 

Sonali is a shishya of Swamini Brahmaprajnanandaji & Swami Brahmavidanandaji and has been studying Vedanta under them since 2014. She has been a Chanting teacher, teaching Sanskrit Shloka-s & Stotram-s & Vedic Chanting at Arsha Vidya Ananda since 2015. A mother of 2 grown-up boys & trained in Hindustani classical vocals, she has been qualified as a Management Professional with specialization in Consumer Insights. 

As a SHINE Tejasvi teacher, Sonali feels ‘It is our responsibility to pass on the vision that backs our Bharat’s glorious cultural & spiritual heritage to the next generation. It is a proud, joyous moment to see the twinkle in the children’s eyes when they understand the beauty of the Hindu practices & principles.’

Sheela Surendran has been a SHINE Tejasvi teacher since August 2022. 

Sheela is passionate and devoted to teaching our spiritual heritage to children and she enjoys seeing their growth curve. 

As a SHINE Tejasvi teacher, she learns and unlearns so much from the kids and her goal is to reach out to as many kids as possible to mould them as assets in the society.

Vidhya Sriram has been a SHINE Tejasvi teacher since August 2023. 

Vidhya has completed her Bachelor’s in Engineering and Masters and worked in networking companies like Cisco,  Nokia. She has had a keen interest in learning about Sanatana Dharma since her childhood. She is a student of the 5 years Atma Vidya course of Swami Omkaranandaji. 

Being a SHINE Tejasvi,  she feels blessed & responsible to teach children and make them understand our rich heritage and be strongly rooted in our values and practices. It also helps her in being creative, compassionate, reliving her childhood. 🙂

Neha Doorwar has been a SHINE Tejasvi teacher since August 2022. 

Neha is a mother to 2 teenage kids, a yoga teacher, a Vedanta student and an avid gardener. She loves exploring the world, traveling to different places, meeting people and understanding different cultures.

‘The joy that each SHINE class brings to me is beyond measure, when a 11 year old chants a shloka perfectly and a 4 year old chants joyfully with that innocent smile, my heart grows in size and in my head I say ‘Bhagavan give me chance to offer these flowers of devotion each day of my life’.  says Neha.

Priya Gopie has been a SHINE Tejasvi teacher since August 2022.

Priya is married with two sons. She is a doctor by profession. She is a student of Swamini Brahmaprajnananda. 

She feels that being a SHINE Tejasvi teacher helps her to assimilate the knowledge of Vedanta, whilst passing on the teachings of Sanatana Dharma to future generations. Through SHINE, she is given the opportunity to honor the ṛṣis, and she also gets to do  sevā. Additionally, being a SHINE teacher helps her with her emotional, social and spiritual growth.

Trishhla Bhuwania has been a SHINE Tejasvi teacher since her Tejasvi training in April 2023. 

Trishhla is a Life Coach and Counselor and uses modalities like NLP , Graphology to analyse adults’ personalities and help them transform as a better self. 

She is passionate about teaching the spiritual heritage of India to children through which she does her seva towards Bharat and the next generation of Bharat.

Gauri Pandya has been a SHINE Tejasvi teacher since August 2022.

Gauri is the shishya of Swamini Brahmaprajnananda since 2020. After working in the advertising industry as a writer in three countries, Gauri is now also a children’s picture book writer and illustrator.

She writes stories that are strongly rooted in the Indian culture. Her Shloka books series on Amazon introduces children to the glorious heritage of India. 

Born and raised in India, and currently residing in the USA, Gauri proudly carries her culture wherever she goes, which is her motivation to become a SHINE Tejasvi teacher.

Kavitha Kailashnath has been a SHINE Tejasvi teacher since April 2024. 

Kavitha is a mother of two little girls and an engineer by profession. Trained in Carnatic music, she loves Sanskrit and has completed 4 levels of correspondence course by Samskrita Bharathi. She enjoys teaching and has worked as a teacher and created content/resources for effective teaching in low-income schools.

Studying Vedanta currently, and seeing the uniqueness of the Vedic culture, she feels that the seed for a Dharmic life needs to be sown at a young age and teaches children about Sanatana Dharma so that children understand, own up and follow the rich culture that they have inherited and grow to their full potential.

Milu Bansdawala has been a SHINE Tejasvi teacher since February 2023.

Milu is a shishya of Swamini Brahmaprajnananda and has a keen interest in learning about Sanatana Dharma. She loves spending time with children. Her hobbies are dancing, listening to music and cooking.

Nidhi Bansal has been a SHINE Tejasvi teacher since April 2023.

Nidhi has led a diverse and inspiring journey shaped by creativity and education. With a background in interior design and experience as an assistant professor at a university, she has now embarked on a new path as an entrepreneur. Her focus lies in running a small business crafting handmade jewelry, where she combines her artistic talents with business acumen. 

Nidhi says, ‘These teachings are not just about imparting knowledge but instilling values that I believe are crucial for the children’s holistic development.’

Vaishnavi S has been a SHINE Tejasvi teacher since April 2023. 

Vaishnavi is a yoga teacher and has been conducting classes for over 10 years with the aim of spreading yoga not just for health and fitness but as a tool for inner transformation.
